Linux HOWTO #1: How to install and use ndiswrapper

LINUX HOWTO 1st installment (Errata: see below)
This is the first in a new series called Linux HOWTOS. Every week I will post a video explaining how to accomplish something using a GNU/Linux operating system. Please write requests for installments in the comments!
This installment deals with using ndiswrapper to use Windows wireless drivers in Linux. Hardware manufacturers often don't release specifications of their products to the open source community, so programs like ndiswrapper become necessary.
If you have any questions, please ask in the comment field, and I or someone else will do our best to answer. Please avoid 'RTFM'-style answers. They are not welcome. Also please post corrections if I mistakenly give some wrong information.
I hope this project will serve as a valuable resource for people wanting to make the switch from a proprietary operating system to Linux.
***Errata***
If you are using ndiswrapper but have a native kernel module for your wireless card installed, you need to add the line:
blacklist name_of_kernel_module
to you blacklist file (probably /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist ). Running "ndiswrapper -l" (without quotes) as root will give the name of the native linux module you need to blacklist. If the module is already loaded you need to run "rmmod name_of_module" (without quotes) before ndiswrapper will work.

Sorry about the audio quality. Mic Boost was on. I lowered the volume after recording but it's still very blown.
Also in the scheduled task settings, you can make it stop defragging by checking the box "stop the task if computer ceases to be idle". Forgot to mention it.

O R4 é somente o cartucho adaptador para o cartão micro sd ,um sistema para rodar os jogos e o adaptador para pc (USB/Transflash).
O micro sd é separado (normalmente)

Yes the bandwidth can be capped from where you're downloading from. I'm aware of that. The game download was capped at around 450KB, but I used that as an example comparing kbps to KB/s.
At the end it's not a mistake saying the upload speed is about as fast as you will download on p2p networks/ torrents. Torrents are based on share ratios so you'll get as fast as you can give.

Check and see if your advertised bandwidth is what you're really getting and learn how to compare different internet service providers. Your speed is controlled by your ISP so understanding how it's advertised is key to improving and comparing it.
Yes I know you will go super fast with tons of seeds so quit whinning. Torrents with 10 - 20 people are another story. Tons of people complain their torrent downloads go slow because they're asshats and super-limit the upload rate for fear of the RIAA or their ISP provides horrible upstream rates.

This is the only and definitive way of increasing your connection speed. Your ISP controls it! If it's not going as fast as it should call your ISP's tech support. If you want it faster, compare rates and find what's most affordable for the speed you want. Understanding how they advertise their packages is key to knowing if you're getting ripped off.
